Who likes the band A Perfect Circle? My favorite song by them is Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums.

I liked everything off of Mer de Norms and Thirteenth Step was good. Anything past that is crappy and political.

Afraid I haven't heard of the band though.

What he said. ^
And no, I don't like them much. Anything with a song name that ... unnecessarily mean probably won't be a favorite of mine.

I don't really like Mer de Noms, and I think Thirteenth Step was okay, but eMOTIVe is the best!

I know that song name is unnecessary, but the song isn't about murder or anything like that. He says, "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums" a bunch of times, but he only talks about protecting someone. He also says, "Counting Bodies Like Sheep," "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums," "Go back to sleep," and "Go to sleep." The song doesn't even have a chorus! Here are the lyrics:

Don't fret precious I'm here, step away from the window
Go back to sleep
Safe from pain and truth and choice and other poison devils,
See, they don't give a **** about you, like I do.

Count the bodies like sheep
Count the bodies like sheep

Counting bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums

Count the bodies like sheep

Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep

Counting bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums

Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep

Counting bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums

Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep

Counting bodies like sheep

Go back to sleep
Go to sleep [x14]
Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep

Counting bodies like sheep

Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep

Counting bodies like sheep

Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep

Counting bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums

Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep

Counting bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums

Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep

Counting bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums [x2]

I’ll be the one to protect you from your enemies and all your demons
I'll be the one to protect you from a will to survive and a voice of reason
I'll be the one to protect you from your enemies and your choices son
They're one in the same, I must isolate you…
Isolate and save you from yourself …

I saw their CD today when I was in HMV. Was tempted to buy it because I saw this yesterday and you said it was good but decided not too.

I think that was a good choice that you didn't buy it, because you might not like them. Everyone has different opinions on what they like. I really do think A Perfect Circle is a great band, but before you buy anything by them (if you're gonna), be sure to sample them in iTunes first (if you have iTunes).

Also, which cd did you see? Mer de Noms, Thirteenth Step, or eMOTIVe?

I bought Thirteenth Step today! It's so awesome. What's funny is that they were playing Thirteenth Step in the cd store when I went in. I came in, and a few minutes after I walked in, A Perfect Circle started playing on the radio.
