I happen to like this song to. :$
But seriously if you like RPGs it's great, i happen to hate them and love it, so that says something.
The actual size of this game is incredible, it's the first time I've ever walked into a city and got lost so badly that i couldn't find my way OUT the city, it was that big. Add on 100 odd dungeons, loads of towns a second hell like place when you pass through oblivion gates.
It is simply huge, it makes GTA:SA look tiny. It looks amazing, the sound fits perfectly and there is so much you can do.
A few people say it's boring, it is if you aren't willing to actually do what an RPG is designed for - Role play. The story doesn't come to you.
When i started playing once I'd escaped the sewers (tutorial) i wandered into a city, got thrown into prison three times for stealing stuff. Went on a hunt for a legendary thief (which i failed at, never did find him.) left the city.
Got rained on and attacked by sodding wolfs, found a small village infested with monks spent the night there and stole one of their horses in the morning.
Charged off across the country, eventually came to this burnt down crap hole of a wrecked city..found this extremely lord of the rings style fire gate ignored that and went in, found out it was an oblivion gate and they'd attacked the city.
So i went through the gate, killed every ******** i could find, marched up these twin towers (LOTR? AGAIN?) eventually after much trouble made it to the top, removed the thingy that kept the gate open and caused the whole place to blow up with really cool affects and ****.
All that in a matter of, what? Two-three hours? It has over 100 hours of game play.
What my point is - You seek out and find the story, you do as you please when you please, you might get told once in awhile "go here, do this" but it's completely optional, you can walk off in the other direction and find plenty of things going on to do.
It's not like Fable where it says "do what you want blaa blaa" but if you don't do the quest you actually have little to nothing to do and anything you can do gets tiring after an hour.
Combats a bit naff, takes awhile to get used to other than that, amazing. Buy it.
