Ahh the feeling of having a job and getting paid for it.. Honestly it does feel good for awhile, depending on how you are and all, maybe after a few weeks little things will start to bug you.. Maybe certain people or how things are run, then eventually you hate the job :P. nah I'm just kidding..

Here in Kentucky minimin wage is $5.15 an hour.. My first job was at KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) .. I was the cook, oh joy, i got paid $5.15 an hour, worked 40 hours a week, got treated like crap, and barely brought in $300 every 2 weeks.. Imagine trying to live on that? Luckily i didnt have to at the time..Quit that job and looked for another..

Now i work construction, have been almost a year now. Its a fun job, always learn something new, right now I have enuff experience to build my own house, from the foundation up.. I get paid pretty good too.. right now every week i bring in $360-$450 depending on my hours.

Also when i work weekends, like last week i worked 6 days.. When i worked on sunday for 7 hours, i made $140 cash in my hand at the end of the day.. My rent for my house is $400 a month.. So im glad i can at least live on what im making right now.. And have plenty money left over.

Move to California, by January 2007, our minimum wage will be $7.00 and by January 2008, it'll be raised to $8.00. In cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles, the minimum is even above $8. However, California is all TAX tax tax tax tax and more tax.
