Usually everyone likes barrows armor for the specials they give. The most common ones are Verac, for the prayer bonus and the defence-defying strikes (good against the Kalphite queen), and Guthan, which actually heals you when you make a hit.

Torag, though, is very tough when it comes to defence. However, all its special does is drains run energy, which only really makes it useful in the Fight Pit. It's not as expensive as the others, but I don't find it to be quite as useful.

Remember, you also have to pay for its up keeping. If Torags didn't have that, it would be a very popular armor.

Yeah, that's the only downside to barrows. I just recently got rid of all my barrows (full torags no hammers, full ahrims no staff, and full karils no x-bow) because they were getting too pricey with repairs.

Also, personally I hate all the barrows special effects besides Guthans, Dharoks, and Veracs.

Well, I like Torags.

It got a quite reasonable defense bonus and looks cool.

Hope you'll enjoy your new set :D

I love how most people just ignore dragon's existence because it is so expensive to get. at 20 mill it is pretty expensive, 10x barrows for less defense and no set effect.

when i eventually get barrows (after i get dragon), its all verac for me (im a total prayer noob, lol)

I want to wear dragon and do Guthans for healing. I said rune is good enough for me. That is because: I don't get ripped to pieces and I can't afford dragon. Also I promised my self that I would never buy dragon armor and get it all from drops. I'm doign pretty crapily right now... :?

Yep, used to afk train there with guthans.

But if you're not afk training, wear normal armor(rune/dragon/torags), if your life drops below half, put on your guthans and heal up. This way the guthans will degenerate much slower.

I prefer Torags to any other set actually. 200k is easy to come by (even in multiple amounts) and it gives the best defence. Simple as that. ^^ Other sets have their perks but what's the use in using Veracs when training against anything but KQ? guthans is best for slayer. ^^

The 2 best barrow sets in my opinion are Torag and Guthan. I never liked Dharok because you had to be at low health if you wanted good str xp, and Verac is only good for PvP and KQ. Ahrim is just for looks, and nobody uses Karil, except the crossbow.

Torag gives a really good defense bonus, and Guthan is perfect for Slayer and Fire Cape (two things I'll be thinking of getting soon= High slayer and Fire Cape)
