Jagex knows French?!

(Sorry if this post is spam, if it is, lock it) I have found evidence that Andrew Gower or his team of programmers knows French. Here it is:

Examine any beret: Parlez-vous francais?
Mort'on: Comes from French words "mort" (dead) and "morir" (to die). I think Mort'on may mean "town of the dead".
Mortaniya: See above.

Found any more?

No, I've never seen any. But it's not too weird, it's only a few words we've seen. I know some Spanish, German, Korean, Troll (See Harry Potter and the Goblit of Fire :wink:

), and English.

It's quite normal that english people know french, even I do so it's not a mirace

The french for "to die" is mourir, the name of the village may also be derived from latin (mortus).
Then again french is a language that has latin as it's origin so it's difficult to say. (roman languages)

The chances are very big that one jagex staff member knows french or another roman language and makes his knowledge usefull.

Well, I dont think they can like speak fluent French, but they might know a little of it, or a am employee who know French

I think in all my time living in England i've come across 2-3 English people that speak another language fluently.

We just don't get taught it much, it's not a big deal because the rest of the world has English as a 1st/2nd/3rd language most of the time anyway..we have no need to learn languages so i doubt they speak it to good either.
