They wont, because Java is multi-platform, and allows for easy cross platform capabilities. PLUS, java is good with graphics and servers and webpages, PLUS is open-source. They wont switch from java..but yeah, they can only do so much with java. As the Java language gets better, so will RS

Personally, I think that this is practice. They experiment with new features and designs to observe the reaction by players and the game by itself.

In other words, they're not making a Runescape 3. They're going to constantly update Runescape 2 in such a way that once it's done and you compare it with the version of Runescape that came out 3 years ago, there will be so much difference that you would think it actually BECAME Runescape 3.

IF they add specific race genres in, they should add a new quest for each race. for example, for the elf race. they make a new quest where you have to do something or other for the elves. part of the quest you have to look like an elf, so you get the elven ring when you wear the elven ring, and select "Morph" you become an elf. then after the quest is over you can keep the ring as it will never die out or lose charges. when u are morphed intop an elf, you can wear certain elven clothes and use certain elven weapons. this way, you don't have to be confined to one genre, if you wanna be a human you can be, by selcting "unmorph" they should make rings for all different races, including elves, goblins, ogres, and any other races cant think of any currently lol

Jagex actually used Java to make their own sub-language...it is called RuneScript..to help deal with the graphics, ect

^ hmm i do know java but am not an expert at it only studied it for 1 year, so i dont know oh how to write an Sub Language if i could, i would make an exact copy of rs, but am not sure on how to create sub languages.
