Let me ask you this question: does it really matter if someone calls anime a cartoon?

If you can't figure out the answer, let me tell you: no, no it doesn't matter. It doesn't change the way millions of people feel about and it doesn't make it any better or any worse. Get over yourselves and stop your bickering, please.

I never dissed anything, you're the one ashamed to call it what it is, a cartoon. I watch cartoons and i AM 18. Points out zie window.

"Setting it APART from other cartoons". It's still categorising it as a cartoon by using saying "other cartoons". Wikipedia can't substantiate who is right here, so there's no point in copying and pasting entries from encyclopedias. I'd rather just see you all post about this show itself than whether or not it's a cartoon.

cartoons and anime are not same thing. Cartoons are completetly hand-drawn, but in anime you draw some pictures and animate them with computer. So, they are two different things. you can't say that a still picture is cartoon, because that's what anime is mostly.

It honestly doesn't matter what people wish to call it, it's just when people see anime as the general thing that comes to mind when you hear the word cartoon. I mean, I wore my Samurai Champloo hoodie(which I bought from Hot Topic by the way), and still some girl called it Poke'mon. Of course it doesn't matter because she was an idiot little freshmen, but I never got how people just naturally think it's for kids.

But, it doesn't matter. As long as everyone knows that most anime isn't even suitable for the majority of the people on this forum, it's all good. So let's just end it.

This is the last off-topic post I'm going to allow. Any more and this is going to get locked. My previous point was to show you that the definition of anime does not disclude being called a "cartoon" because of its wording. I really don't want to have to end your thread on Naruto, but if you're going to keep this unnecessary fight going, I'm afraid I'll have no other choice. You can do the sensible thing and PM someone when you disagree with them or you can continue this. It's up to you.

Woah, Toonami actually played Naruto with it's REAL either 2nd or 3rd Japanese beginning theme song. :shock:

Way to do something right.. "Fighting Dreamers" would have been a better choice, but it's better than what they had..

Jiraiya's voice sounds weird though.
