Mindless Clicking + Terrible Graphics = Fun?

I've just been thinking what draws people to Rs.

Almost every skill is just clicking items for hours.
Mining - click on a rock
Woodcutting - click on a tree
Fishing - click on the water
etc...

I'm not saying that it's a bad game, because obviously I'm addicted to it...I just can't figure out why.

Someone please explain why we find this game so fun plox.

I play because it helps me with some real life things as well as friends and completeing goals.

Without RS I probably wouldn't know as much about computers and the internet as I do now, I wouldn't have as many friends to talk to and I wouldn't be as patent or hardworking, in some cases. And I guess it teaches how to manage money :S

Yes, Runescape has also taught me how to manage money. Don't buy over 5k lobsters if you don't plan on killing other people, and I also learned to always open odd boxes strange old men give me. Yeah..

I personaly think Jagex uses digital nicatine. Only reason I can think of that I would get 99 wc on 2 different accounts on such a terrible game. Runescape has wasted my days.. What beavers build+n you Jagex.

I started playing this game cause a friend got me hooked on it...But it got sorta boring after a while cause i was still f2p. Then I got on to chat with friends since my rents dont let me use IM programs...

I use runescape as a way to kill bordem now...Where I live it rains and snows alot so I cant do much out side during the winter (rarely I get to snowboard but not often) So yah Also its cheaper then other games lol...

It's a game thats cheap with alot of things to do, its very simplistic and easy to pick up unlike some other games, very addictive, and on top of that it can teach some useful life lessons.
