Dharok Question :?

I know Dharok has a Magical defense disadvantage, but does it still have it when it's not full set? Like when I'd only be wearing Plate and Legs?

Well, I think my question wasn't clear, so I'll try to re-write it?


1. I wanted to have Guthan + Dharok + a barrow set to use with a whip that would be cool (most people said Torag was the best to use with whip)
2. But then I was wondering if Dharok was good to use with whip, because i checked in some Item Database that Dharok pl8+leg was the same def than Torag pl8+leg. Why not saving 2M for the same thing?
3. But then I remembered that Dharok was really lame vs. Magic attacks, but I thought it was only this kind of thing with full set. (I already know melee is bad vs Mage, but Dharok is worse vs mage than others)

SO, I was wondering if Dharok is good when using whip with it, or I should get 2M for Torag to use with whip instead.


NOTE: I'd get Dharok anyways, even if I had to get Torag. I was just wondering if Dharok = Torag when using a berserker helm and whip with them, so that could save me 2M if I could use Dharok.

Any melee barrows equipment will lower your mage defence considerably. Any melee armor for that matter lowers your mage defence.
No matter if your wearing the full set or wearing just the legs dharocks lowers mage def
