One thing about that picture that isn't right (not saying its a fake) is that J mods can't attack other people, I belive one said so when he was at the fishing guild.

To me that looks possibly like a dragon short sword.

probably jagex showing off whats coming up next. wouldnt be surprised if it was a d short though, thats one thing they will probably add eventualy, so why not show it off and test it at soem major player event?

I would imagine there would be several stages between creating the object and it being inserted into the game world. It would have to be on a larger scale, something that is going to be unveiled someday. Keep your ears to the ground, maybe we will see something in a future update.

But the fact that it just looks like a modified version of other weapons tells me that either they didn't put effort into this "new weapon" or it was just some/a developer(s) who felt like making it. It happens.
