Well when I watch videos on youtube, g4tv or any other sites which show videos from Firefox have no sound. My speakers work just fine, when I usually watch or listen to music using Windows Media Player it works just fine or when I play video games. I just don't know what seem to be the problem :|

I can here the sound on g4tv with firefox 1.5 and flash player 8.

try going here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download ... omoid=BIOW
and installing the newest version of flash since the g4 vids are in a flash movie player.

Seems like Adobe bought macromedia :\

A Kid asked Jesus, "How much do you love me?" and Jesus said. "This much."
And spread his arms out on the cross and died.

If you can't offer any advice at all, perhaps you shouldn't post.

It should work. I'm sorry that I am unable to find the the problem so it can be fixed. The only other idea I have is to see if either of the sites you are having problems with have a support section and ask for help there.

I still think there is something wrong with my Flash program, because I see videos in Firefox which don't require Flash to watch it. But when I got on their official site it still says that I got the latest version on my computer.

Firefox

There lies the problem.

Get Opera. It (as my sig says) is faster than firefox, safer than firefox, and better than firefox.

And it has widgets, pop-up blocking that actually works, it isnt horribly, horribly bloated, it uses less processing power, it doesnt have a horrible memory leak, it doesnt take ages to start up, it has bittorrent, content blocker, you can make your own custom search engines with keywords, it has widgets, you can talk through IRC, there are site-by-site preferences, http_user_agent masking, mouse gestures, voice control, sessions, email, notes, it works in more languages than firefox and on more platforms, you can make or download user stylesheets and javascripts, quickly validate site markup, reloading from cache, a kiosk mode, and it has a better security track record than any other browser there is.

On my older computer I didnt have sound for a few months and I finally got fed up with it. So I went to Microsoft.com and download a program right from there that worked...I think I went to the site.

If not look for your discs that came with the computer with all the hardware on them and download it from there. And if you cant find those borrow someone's that you know has the same pc as you :)
