let's do the math here. 466k in 10 hours = 46.6k per hour. it will take 1332 iron in 1 hour. that's 22.2 iron per minute or 1 iron every 2.7 seconds. so in just 2.7 seconds, your friend must wait, mine and drop without fail.

Yup, that also sounded fishy to me.

If you just drop the iron right after you mine it instead of waiting for your inv to fill up its alot quicker. It sounds possible to me, you would have to be on a really empty members server...maybe he did it in the mine thats really deep in the sewers with iron and coal. Not many people would walk through a huge sewer just to mine coal and iron so It mightve been deserted.

It doesnt have to be 1 type of ore hes mining, maybe he used more then one and dropped it all.

Agreed...and I'd say if they are not they are almost supper human. You seriously couldn't stop all day...no bathroom, water, food etc....otherwise it would kill it.

Nope, waterskins are just used while roaming the free dessert. Whenever you enter a town (Menaphos, Pollniveach) I don't think you need waterskins. And the granite mines place is consider part of a town.... so no, you don't need em

Well I'm sure it can be done with a macro...but if it has never been done with a real person...I"m sure someone will do it...It seems possible...although very difficult. Yet, how many time have we said that in runescape...I would not be surprised if someone finds a way to do it though.

Edit: Infact...I"m almost tempted to give it a shot this summer...see if I could do it...I need to get my mining up as it is. It would also be nice to see how I much I could really do in a day.

well it is still possible that a macro is at work and someone just look at the monitor just to chat.

and consider that he only played for 7 months and he got 100 mil xp already. if he is powermining, where can he get his money to buy 99 cooking? his skills look suspicious too.
