[Guide] Making Money with Farming

Ok this might not be new news but it is still important if you are a member and want to make loads of money doing practically no work at all! Farming is a skill most players set aside as boring or mundane, This being the case with most players, many do not know the money making potential, that is why i wrote this guide!

REQUIREMENTS: Level 32 Farming

RECOMMENDED:

Skills: Magic level 51
Quests: Priest in Peril, Restless Ghost, Ghosts Ahoy, A Fairy Tale Pt 1, Heros Quest
Items: Ectophial, Glory Amulet(for Draynor Teleport) Law Runes, Water Runes, Air Runes, Magic Secateurs, Super Compost

Ok now that you have your farming level to 32 its time to start making money!
The first step is to obtain rannar seeds. You can thieve them from master farmers or most players sell for between 20k - 25k each. I know this may seem like a lot but it really isn't. You should probably get some super compost too.... So get about 4-20 rannar seeds gathered up. Go to the Allotment Patch Above Ardougne, Use supercompost on the Herb patch and plant a rannar seed, Then teleport to Camelot and go southeast toward the Second Allotment patch and repeat the planting, Use your ectophial to teleport to the Ecto-Temple and go west a little bit till you get to the third allotment patch, Plant one there and finally use your charged glory amulet to teleport to Draynor and plant a rannar there. now that you have planted in all 4 patches you must only wait 75 minutes until they're done. Once they are done return to the allotment patches and harvest your herbs, Rannar weeds sell for 7-8k each. You will get between 5-12 herbs per patch. Do the math, Assuming the average is 7-8 herbs for each plant you will get about 200k from each time, Once you have 30 or so rannar weeds go to seers or falador west bank and sell your herbs there. You may now purchase more rannar seeds and start over! I have personally made enough in one day to buy full sara and to buy a lot of other things i have needed. This guide is very simple and as long as you follow it you will be on your way to becoming rather wealthy doing almost no work at all....

Points to remember:

Always use supercompost, it lowers the chance your plants will get diseased
Make use of all 4 allotment patches for the fastest results.

i doubt that last point...

sorry, uhm, well, i do ranarrs alot and they are GOOD MONEY. i started off with 1 ranarr seed. i planted and sold the herbs, i kept doing this untill i had around 50-60 seeds, then i planted them all and got a whip with the money i made.. but you dont get an average of 7/8 herbs per seed!

your choice...they sell for the same thing...it only depends if you want to make herblore xp or not..

yes, u make money this way, but u make extraordinarily slowly. Itd be faster just to make p pots if u can

I do this a lot and it is not slow money, your calculations r incorrect, at around 32 farming u get normally 5 ranarrs, if u use magic secateurs u can get more, at like 60 farming with secateurs u can get like 8-12 easily. also, you need to do this WHILE doing other stuff, or logg off. wow 150-250k an hour isnt much!, well it is for not doing anything, y dont u do something while that, and it goes better

Brandt, it is slow, but that is if you stand next to the herb patch waiting for them to grow

, you could just plant them all then train your level or something for 75 minutes or just go do something else :wink:

its good money... and Sephiroth the herbs are 7keach at the moment but pray pots can sell for 8k plus+ so if anyone can make p pots make them

I think the only p pots which sell for 8k each are (4). you normally make (3) when you make a potion.
