Obsidian appears to be a real compound...

I have a nice lump of Obsidian. Its very dark. Looks like black glass, and when broken is sharper than it is actually possible to sharpen steel.

Adamant isnt a substance as such, its an adjective. You can have an adamant substance. It just means its really hard. Diamond could be referred to as adamant.

The Obsidian seen on runescape looks nothing like real Obsidian, though.

Ya obsidian is cool stuff. When cracked it is one of the sharpest materials on earth. Made great arrowheads for some indian tribes...and is sometimes used in surgery instead of steel. It is much sharper. Infact people heal up faster with the obsidian blades. The only problem with that is that the wound can acutually close before it has had adequate time to drain.

I also have an obsididan arrow head. Obsidian is really cool you can see you reflection in it.

Ive known this for a while also. But ive never touched a real thing of obsidian. Does it break easily? If so then everytime you hit that lesser demon with the obsidian maul the maul should shatter lol.
