I think They are making chairs to add a bit more reality to the game. And if it so happens carpentry is coming out along with it, hey, I wont complain. People may think its going to be stupid and lame, and that how can runescape possibly make enough houses for everyone, but think about it. If runescape is acctually going to make this, they wouldent want it to take up all of the room on the game. So they would want to make it so everyone has a house, but takes up as little room as posible. Im thinking there will be only a few certain area you can build your house, kinda like they do with farming lots, You can see your house, not everyone elses.
And I read the forum on POH's about 6 or 7 monthes ago, when it was on the main RS forums. The Game Moderator (the people that actually make and test the new items, for you that dont know the difference between Game mods and Player Mods) spoke how you would be able to build rooms onto your house (im thinking building certain rooms you will need different construction levels, e.x.- level 20 to build a "living room", 22 to add on a "Dinning room" that sort of thing), and maybe even add a shop onto it.
And who knows, with this new Game engine, we may get something that we all like. They did say the engine allowed them to do stuff they couldent on the last. So dont go ranting and complaining about new stuff that you dont know a thing about yet. Let it come out, try it yourself, then you can complain about it all you want. Do the programers of runescape a favor, get off their backs about stuff you personally dont like and give em a break, let them do their jobs to try and please the whole of the runescape population.
