What keeps you playing?

It has the same appeal to me as SimCity and other games like that: Ongoing improvement. I still have plenty of ungained levels, updates to look forward to, items to collect. As long as there's more to do in Runescape, I don't see myself quitting anytime soon.

probably the only thing that keeps me playing is my connections, friends and the arrival of a New Skill. In world 110 i know a ton of people (all the regulars anyway). I have alot of friends here and of course i want carpentry to come out.

My main reason to play for me is to set a goal and see if i can achieve it. I think runescape becomes boring if you are number 1 in everything cause then there are no other goals to achieve. when you think rs becames boring then you missed a part of setting a challenge 4 yourself i always look 4 new challenges thats what keeps me moving. luckily jagex often comes with update which makes game more fun 2 play. I had a friend who quited playing the game for half a year ago. When he came 1 day online he asked me help and he said wow this game made a huge difference now. And now ever since when he gots the time he plays like 3 hours a day. so if you get bored dont throw away account come later on again maybe you find new tings which you like.

ANYWAY i like this game and i wont stup when i am number 1 in f2p

The main thing that keeps me going are quests but other than that I set myself a goal and try to achieve it.

I think I keep playing cause of the weekly updates. Runescape is a changeing game, not something that you can beat, for it has no end really. Plus I stay to talk and hang out with my friends. Without them, I wouldent be playing today.

I just play it from boredom and because I try to keep up with my friends. I still think its a fun game btw.

i still play because i cant quit in the middle of anything so until i can make full rune and make power ammys etc. etc.

Because I set goals and achieve them. Just got 70 mining/crafting...now racing friend to first lvl 99 skill by end of summer. I'm about 800k ahead. Woot woot...Woodcutting is so much better then range (yet so much more pointless

)

Im lvl 98 almost 99, and can almost get full torags. So soon ill have

100 Combat
Best armor
Best weapon
Best sheild

(Torags whip Dsq)

I Plan on taking a looooong break once i get that.

u already got a abbysal whip? thats good weapon. What armour you mean? full mystic or something? Or full dragon

This one's easy. I don't lead a very social life because I usually have trouble looking someone in the eye and actually talking about something.

In Runescape, however, it's different, because I see on screen another player and not really a human being, whom I know is playing as well. I just find it easier to converse when I can think about something and not actually have to splutter it out; just merely type it and press enter.

In a nutshell, I play Runescape to socialize (And I don't trust MSN very much).
