I think one of the best things I remember was in Runescape classic. I was trying to get my mining high enough to enter the mining guild, and I wasn't doing too well. Then while I was mining iron in the dwarf mines, I met someone there and we began to talk to each other about a few things.
His name was Zezima, and he was level 82 combat.
Anyways, he needed ore for smithing exp, and I needed mining exp, so what we did was I mined the iron ores from the rocks and I gave them to Zezima to smith. My mining made it to 60, and it was all thanks to him.
To show his appreciation for my help, he gave me his first adamantite hatchet. I heard him say, 'Yes! Level 60 smithing!', he drank a dwarven stout (was using it to smith adamantite as well), and made me a hatchet.
To this day, I still have the hatchet in my bank. And if only the Jagex Team would make it say something like, "This sword was made by Alex 43" or "Doric" or something, I could show you.
(And yes, I tried posting it in suggestions. It got bumped off there faster then I could press 'post'.)
Anyways, I don't think I'll forget that, because as the day went by, Zezima and I spoke to each other less and less. Saradomin knows if he even remembers me. Ah well. I know Shane12088 and we still talk, so that's good enough for me!
