monkey madness whit pures

i have 2 questions about doing this quest whit a pure:
1. What ranged level should i get to range the demon?
2. The quest description says, that in the end of that quest i will get 35k xp in the skills i chose and 20k in the skills that i did'nt choose(includeing def) and 20k def xp whit a low def pure would be horrible lol.

I got a buddy with 99 range and 94 magic 95 hits and 1 defence and he said killing the demon was hard for him.

The easiest way to kill the demon is to kill it with a halberd. Use the gnomes, if they still do, to block you from the demon. Then just let the halberd do the work.

range lvl... i reckon 50+ would be enough, the main problem is the bulk of the quest...
Also, if you're making a low def pure, 20k xp wont even get you to 40 if you're at 1 def, so i wouldnt worry unless you are really concerned about your pureness.

By the way. I runned around the mid of the platform we were figthing till he got stuck in a corner. He wasn't maging at me then nor did he meleed me. So I killed him with just some chaos and mith arrows.

dont speak to the gnome at the end who takes you to monkey island place - he gives you the training.

also just run around centre till you're on opposite sides then side step out 1 by 1 till your just off edge, then slowly walk towards demon and range him = no hits on you :wink:

The demon is easy, just find a safe spot and range it. I only got hit once right at the start when I wasn't paying attention.

just stay away from it...and range mage or hally it, try not to use up all ur food to quick, and id say 60+ range, anylower and ur just wasting time and arrows

i was lvl 57 range when i killed it ... i just stood back and ranged it widd protect from mage ... took me less then 50 addy arrows ta kill it

Wasnt that hard the quest is the hardest and longest part

I don't know what your so worried about, just get out there and do it!you got good stats. bring:range/mage pots(which ever you are using) Do NOT use melee. bring as many sharks or baked potatoe(heals 22) as possible.

there are plenty of guides for MM. if you can't do pro-melee, just hide behind the gnomes and attack it. i did it at 22 range. lol took me about 220 irons though. =$

I did it when I was only 45 ranging and used 47 rune arrows, there is a hidden spot there so demon didn't atack me back.

When I did it, I stood 2 squares away from the corner and the demon couldn't attack me at all. I don't know if they took this out or not but
