I have this picture -

Image

I want to put it onto a background and such, I know how to resize it and stuff, but how do I get rid of the white, without destroying the gloves and wrist-bands, because everytime I try, half the gloves and wrist-bands vanish...

Please help...

Thanx

just change the background color to something not in the render (ie. lime green flood fill ) then give it a go usually makes it a snap.

I think you use Gimp, so this technique might not work. It should work the same way as what Xbladez said.

Presuming Gimp has a magic wand tool, (and I think it does because I've heard other people talk about it before) apply these settings. Hopefully they are the same in Gimp. The default Tolerance for Photoshop is 32.

Then select the white bit you want to get rid of and hit delete like you would normally do. If this way is a tad confusing, just ignore it and use Xbladez' way because that's simple, and it works.

Actually, depending on if I use my computer or my dads, I always use Photoshop. My dad's I use Photoshop Elements 3.0 and on mine I use Photoshop 7.0.

Thanx for all your help.
