After a while I think they probably get use to it. If you ignore the beggers they just go away, and I don't mind the questions some people are just curious. Don't think I've ever been called a "nerd" or anything.. really maybe once or twice but hardly ever. Though if you don't trade people often get called "noob", but I suppose thats all they know in their vocabulary :P

Well, I'm lvl 103 and when I go to f2p I'm usually wearing my full dharok w/axe so I get alot of "Nice axe". I rarely if ever get called a noob or nerd in f2p due to the fact that I'm respectful to everyone (except those that beg for money). I never call anyone noobs, scammers excluded, and I usually get respect back. It's amazing when you realize that if you just give respect to most f2p players, they'll most likely give it back, but as always, there are exceptions.

I've definatly gotten used to it on p2p, because no one says that sort of thing. Sometimes I just go to f2p to feel better about myself. I don't know about other people, but that's my experience.

I think that the question can be turned around also. How do you react when you're around high lvl players? Being called a noob or a nerd really isn't that bad. If you're a high lvl, then you've obviously been playing long enough to somewhat get used to it. I mostly don't talk to high lvl players because, well...I find that a great deal of them are just snobby or they think that you're just wanting to try to be friends with them to get money. RS is just a game and people are just people.

Was that really needed?

I get comments often. I don't get negative ones too often though. I will walk around a free world and get the occasional "Nice lvl" comment or something of that sort. I say thanks to them and sometimes stop to give them some tips or just have a little conversation, mabye make a new friend. Whenever I get a negative comment I just ignore the person, unless we are in the wild and I could kill them. :P

I like how Mushroom Queen though about turning the question around. When I am around higher level players then me I will comment if something comes to mind, or of they do something good. I will always be friendly with people that are friendly to me, thats only fair. I don't judge players on their combat lvl like most people do. If you are a low level person it truly doesn't mean anything to me at all. It just shows that you have played the game less then me or you don't enjoy training combat as much as I do.

So to answer the question I don't care if people make rude comments to me, I just ignore them or kill them. Nice comments are accepted and a friendly conversation wil occour if I am not rushing anywhere.
