Ring of life only works if not teleblocked and.... if u fall within 10% of your hp but more than 0.
ie. My hp of 85 means I must fall below 9 hp but not to 0... so then if I'm at 20 hp and someone hits for 28 then ring of life does me no good.
What I do recommend as somewhat of a deterent for after effect is a ring of recoil, Black D hide armour and a magic bow... a mage thinks twice before hitting a rangerright off... also heading from the varrock side of the river many do not look there and should you see anyone one u can always log or tele with that second of hesitation from surprise.
Always tele by runes and have the spell ready on aproach untill you can click the zammy mage for the tele into abyss.
