Pure Range Help

Ok, I want to make a pure range but i would like to tle but this would mean i need to get to 25 mage. Will this affect my combat level? At the moment im 40 range with 27 combat. I just dont want the mage to build up my combat...

Or. Maybe it doesnt affect? Please Help.

No, you should not gain any combat levels.

According to the skill calculators, if you are ranged base, it should take 40 magic levels to gain one combat level.

Of course, that's just with me filling in the missing information -- you'd need all your combat stats if you want completely accurate predictions.

well thts weird because i saw some one teleport and he was combat 27 and range 40 ( same as me ), i got very confused...

How is that weird? If he has the same stats as you, shouldn't his combat level be the same?

if you train 1 thing like only range or only mage then it takes a lot more lvls of somtin to get a combat lvl..so dont worry about it..the most it would do is like 1 combat lvl.

it won't affect ur cb lvl, only the hp lvls you get out of the use of magic, but if you use spells wich don't give hp xp, then can you lvl intil it meets ur ranged without gaining cb
