any such site?

I build frankenstien macines as a hobby. I generally buy hardware from a used computer place near me. (They set out bins labeled "sound cards, $5," and every soundcard in the bin is 5 bucks. Its awesome.)

But I was recently thinking, if I wanted to specialize a computer (i.e. "quiet," or "fast," "affordable," or "3-terrabyte-gianormous"), is there some well known (or otherwise) site that is essentially a search engine for hardware, that would take terms such as "fast" and "affordable" and then show you the stuff in order of average user rating?

Or am I just mad?

If you are looking for a site where you can search for things to buy then I know of a good place. http://www.newegg.com has good stock in everything pretty much. They also have an advanced search for each type of product that you can choose certain details about what you are searching. For example, searching for a monitor you can say find monitors that are 19", res. of whatever X whatever ect...
