IMHO, I believe in p2p, it is unbalanced, ancient mages really do hurt rangers a lot..but i gess thats what they added seeculler, but for f2p..rangers will take mages no problem, i seen a level 36 kill a level 54 mage in wild..with ease, it was funny actually... :)

Thats strange. My mage hits 13 same lvl as my range. My range only hits max 9. So how come they better than mage when my mage beats my range...

Couple reasons, for one dragonhide...kindov good against mage....addy arrows...maple short....I take it you dont use addy?

Dragonhide armor has high magic defence but low slash defence, and archers can still fire from afar if held.

No mage armor provides any range defence.

Melee armor lowers magic defence but has high ranged defence, and holding spells prevent a melee fighter from closing in.
