About me
Hello! I'm new to these fourms/this is my first post. I'm currently playing
RS P2P on the account X oh ya X. This is my first guide, so i thought id give it a shot. Please leave comments or question, as your support is greatly appreciated. This guide is copyright for me only, you may not copy any part of this guide without asking!
Pures VS Impures
An important choice you have to make before you start is, Pure or Impure?, There are advantages for both.
Pures Pros/Cons
-----
Can hit hard and fast
Good for pking also
Shorter Battles
Low combat level
-----
Cannot use strong/if any armor
Takes more time to train up
People tend to be more scared of you
Impures Pros/Cons
-----
Hits decent/good
Can be used to do other things, such as killing dragons etc.
Can wear armor/has defense so you get hit less and for less
You can have more well-rounded stats
-----
Cannot hit as hard as a pure
only decent for pking (at lower levels)
Higher combat level
Over all, either is a good choice, pick one that fits your style, and your preferred fighting method. I went with impure, with the stats of
70ATTk/60DEF/60STR/63Magic Combat lvl 79. With this setup, any my equipment (while ill get to later) I can stake about 5-9 levels higher than me.
Equipment
Once you have picked your attack skill(s) and decided whether your going to be pure/unpure, youll need to get the equipment your going to use. As weapons go in my experience the best i've seen is,
Ranger - Magic short bow/Crystal bow if possible Mage - Staff/no need for weapons Warrior - Abyssal whip/Greataxe, Dragon Dagger S
This is based purely on what i've seen. Rangers when staking should not use ANYTHING under Addy arrows. Mages should have runes for bind, and there best spell they can cast, Warriors should have the best weapon possible, super potions (if you stake potions on). For impures this is quite different.
Ranger Impure - Best dhide you can wear, magic/crystal bow Magic Pure - Full mystic with wizard boots, Mystic lava staff Warrior Impure - Best armor you can afford, Whip/axe Dragon Dagger S
As with pures, Rangers will want addy or higher arrows, mages will want bind runes, highest elemental spell runes, and maybey a Super def potion or two. As a warrior, youll spent most of your money on the best armor and weapon, if you have money left over, Supper attk and str pots are almost required for battling higher levels (again, this is if u play with pots on) Ill add more to this section later.
Staking at levels under 50
If your under level 50, your staking will probably be low, 10-100k, Note:This isn't the case with pures. When you begin staking, especially if you picked impure, don't stake people more than 4 levels higher, Also, don't stake all your gold on 1 fight. Try to stake 10k at a time and slowly build up your profits. At low levels, potions and special attacks aren't as important (unless you pure).
High level staking
This is where the fun and big money starts coming in. When i stake i can easily earn 2mil+ a day. At higher levels, especially for pures, you can stake people higher combat than you, depending on there stats. Before you even start staking at high levels you should A.Have all your dueling items stocked and ready to start B. Have all your equipment purchased and ready to go. For high level rangers, fight in arenas with obstacles, and run - shoot - run - shoot, etc. For mages, Make sure you have those bind runes! Binding and hitting is VERY effective, Ancient magic is great for this! For warriors, you'll want to have all your potions, rings, armor, wepons, etc. You'll want to use you special at decisive times, (see combo section) Ill add more here as i go on later also.
Picking the juicy target
The good target is, someone with low strength/defense/attack for there level, and of course, lower levels than you. Id highly suggest you use high score list when staking, but for those of you who want mystery, your going to die alot more. The good target is that noob who has all the good items, who will use your rules, and who doesn't seem to confident. When you start staking, if your level 60 for eg. you don't want to say, staking 5mil!, people will know your TO confident in your ability and must be hiding something. Start small, or just say "staking" let them stake or raise the stake up. If your a mage, avoid rangers and higher level mages, you'll want to choose warriors who you can bind. Rangers can try almost anything, if fighting a warrior, try no armor, see how this works for you.
Weapon combos, rules, etc.
If your warrior/ranger, you'll want to use your special at the right moment to deliver the most power-full blows you can. For different styles, there are different strategies, some simple strategies,
Warrior Whip, dds combo - First, equip dds, spec 4 times, then use whip
Ranger dds to short bow - Spec 4 times with dds, then take out mage bow
Mage bind>hit>bind- Bind target, hit, bind again, hit, Simple!
Warrior Dlong to dds - Spec 2-3 times with dds, 1-2 times with longsword
Note: These combos are not guaranteed to make you win, they are just some of the things i use, and they work pretty well for me, practice and play around with these in fun duels.
Here's a list of some good random items:
Gnome amulet - Gives best defense
Zamorak Robes - a good cheap choice for mages
Monk robes - Best prayer outfit if you use prayer
Addy/Rune boots - Gives u extra def than your opponent
Legend/God capes - Better than normal capes, use if you can
Family crest gauntlets - Actually gives good defense
Anyway, ill try to make this guide better any way i can, that's all i got for now, i hope it helps in some way, enjoy!
