You really should give us some information about the game, like its theme (fantasy, sci-fi) and some background on the story. These all assume fantasy and I will leave the details of the history to you.

areas:
* The Woods. A dark forest filled with strange flora and fauna.
* The Post. An outpost in the Woods frequented by rather shady figures. A good place to stop by for a drink between fights, or to do a bit of gambling. If you can find it, that is...
* The Wizards' Tower. A place where mages go to study and broadcast their more powerful spells. Dark Arts are not permitted for the world's sake.

rooms:
* The Tower Library. A part of the Wizards' Tower where books are stored. A good place to learn some magic or just get some reading done.

NPCs:
* Sophos the Wise. An old and very knowledgable wizard who spends most of his time at the library. He advises newer players and may give you a quest or two.
* Jack. This rogue can be found at the Post and will play a few games of chance with you if you don't mind a wager.

items:
* Scrolls and books. Spend enough time reading these and you will learn the spells and other knowledge detailed within. Newer wizards may be unable to understand complicated spells.
* Cauldron. Mix things you find in the Woods here. You will need to read up on potions before you can mix certain things.
* Staff. Allows for easier direction of spells, increasing accuracy and damage. Also aids movement across some terrain.

spells:
* Sparks. Can be used to intimidate some enemies into fleeing if you do not wish to fight.
* Ice Shard. Condenses moisture in the air into a small shard of ice and propells it at high velocity toward an enemy. A deadly and accurate physical attack.
* Wind Armor. Surrounds you with high speed swirling winds, misdirecting enemy attacks and improving defensive capabilities.
* Tremor. Shakes the ground briefly, causing mild damage and stunning your opponent.

* Battlefields. Lands whose ownership is disputed. This is where you will do most of your fighting.

* Engineering Lab. You can buy upgrades to weapons, body armor and other gadgets here.
* Hangar. If you can pass training you can go here to launch an aircraft.
* Armory. Weapons and body armor are stored here. As you improve in rank you can access a greater variety.
* Vehicular Storage. Ground vehicles are stored here.
* Arcane Range. Practice spells here.
* Book Store. Buy books on history, magic, and all kinds of other stuff.

NPCs
* Recruiters. Talk to them about joining the military.
* Shade. Not his real name. An unaffiliated space pirate who can teach you a thing or two about stealth tactics, and gamble if you're willing.

items
* EMP Grenades. Throw one of these bad boys at an enemy to disable its electronic systems.
* Gauss Rifle. A standard infantry weapon that fires magnetically propelled bullets.
* Magic Wand. A wizard's best friend. Use it to cast spells.
* Mana Blade. A magically generated wrist sword with a monomolecular edge.

spells
* Fire Wave. Shoots flames over a short distance.
* Lightning Bolt. A long range bolt of electricity that inflicts damage and can knock out electronics.
* Static Shockwave. Causes minor damage and stuns the target.
* Transfigure. Turns an enemy into something harmless.
* Hex. Reduces an enemy's accuracy.
