Heres my opinion i have recovery questions and bank pin and every time i log out i store all my staff at bank so it would much more safer

Get over it - I mean, it's still horrible that you got hacked and everything, but you didn't lose much. I'm just really annoyed that I got hacked about a week before the PIN system came out, and lost my RED AND GREEN MASKS. ARGH. I WAS SAVING THOSE!!!

Just remember to check the newb account every five or six days. Do you guys have a permanent thred (at the top of the topics page) so that everyone can read the best way to protect your account? That would be helpful... just like a step 1-10 way of protecting your account.

Also, how often should you scan, everyother day, once a day, twice a day? And what should you use anti-virus or spybot/adaware or both? This would help me immensely as I'm not sure how safe my account is.

this is why they put pins in, to stop hackers! (try anyway) i have a pin and i store everthing in it before i log out, that way its safe, so dude if u had a pin u would not have been a target for hackers...

No. Your bank PIN only disactivates instantly when you enter the correct bank PIN, else you ahve to wait 3 or 7 days. (You set it)

I havent been hacked (yet) so I cant really say its no big deal. If you stay playing RS im sure that you can makeyour money back eventually.

If and when you do come back, set your recovery questions to something like;

Recovery Question 1
Recovery Question 2
etc

And keep the answers hidden in your bedroom on a peice of paper. =D

To avoid keyloggers, use the on screen keyboard found in; Accessories, Accessibilty. =)

They are both way way better than Norton, it catches everything and Norton catches nothing...
They scan and protect your computer so it works as both.

Norton is so annoying. AVG (The Grisoft One) is undeniably the best Virus Scanner you can get. But make sure you back it up with a good firewall, the Windows Firewall doesn't catch much. I use PC-Cillin, It catches pretty much all "Hack Attacks".

For a good Spyware Removal Tool, try http://lavasoft.com/software/adaware, and download Ad-Aware Personal Edition. It catches slightly more than Spybot S&D, but it pays to have them both installed, in case one of them catches what the other doesn't.
