well i managed to beat the game. it was quite cool execpt the last level cuz i almost got my behind kicked...
game is a lot harder than the first one.
pros:
the storyline is great, you get everything from the 501st legion's commander's point of view I.E why we killed jedi, how hopeless it seemed etc
graphics (as you can see) is very nice.
having objectives unlike the first one which was really shoot them all (in single there are objectives other than that basicly the same)
given time you can steal tanks from the enemy
you can switch to another unit ingame unlike the first one so people don't have to die to switch
it's a lot harder than the first one cuz everybody has a lot more HP
it's like kights of the old republic, rogue squad, and battlefront 1 all rolled into one.
cons:
your army are still kinda stupid. unlike the first one you cannot give commands so basicly they do whatever thy want
you only have 26 seconds to decide if you want to be a jedi after you have finished part of your mission
fighting in space isn't so good, basicly you HAVE to be a bomber. only way to win is to destroy the capital ship which only bombers can do any real damage so no dog fights for you.
jedi starfighter (like ani's ship in the movie) are weak. they get shot down very easily
in the first one you can be a pilot and fix your tank while you are inside. in the 2nd one you can't! when fighting and your tank gets damaged either you jump out or have someone else to repair it. i mean come on if you're in a tank you're going to fix whatever you can. and they don't have the driod to fix tanks and planes like in the first one.
in single player only YOU can capture a command post. in the first one whoever was was in the area comp or player can capture a command post. what stinks is i have to be in every single one to beat the map. it stinks cuz there could be like 10 of my units in there and they aren't doing anything suddenly i go in and then 20 rebels spawn and own everybody. good thing is that they can't recapture a command post.
overview:
it is a good game and i still say people should buy it or at lesat try it out if they enjoy first person shooters. i was hoping for more of a plane to plane action. i really just want to shoot planes down unlike having a BIG ship that i have to destroy. jedi are still cool though. i was hoping to be the good guy but the game revolves around the 501st commander from the beginning toward the end.
