well i think that 80% of the girls in rs are actually boys... if you are 1 of the 20% who are not plz tell... well im a boy in rs but a girl in real life... got bored from ppl asking me to be their gf... well im gonna test again how are the rs females treated... when i logged on to rs first this guy says: selling rune scimmy
selling rune scimmy
selling rune scimmy
selling....
hey you wanna be my gfim rich ill give you a saph ring...
i walk away i see myself as the only girl until a nother girl logges on i add hm to my friends list ask her is she really qa girl...
she answers: no... i just like ppl getting around me asking to be thair gf ;)
she says: are you???
me:well thats an insult to girls that thing that not actually being a girl...
i add her to ignore ;)
so thats what happens when im a girl...

I see no point on people becomming gf and bf in runescape unless you are in rl with the person. It makes no sense at all. It is just weird when I walk around and see people calling eachother hun and dear ect...

I can say i know exactly what your talking about, and all this nonsense about dating is completely stupid and destroys what the game is about. I know alot of low levels try to get high level gf/bf's but then there are the high levels that have known each other for a long long time and decided to just date on rs for fun, in that sense i don't think its so bad but when people do it just for money that's really not what its about.

I play a girl on rs. Not because i want free stuff so don't go judging people cause other people act that way. I play as a girl simply because of the idiotic attitude people have towards it. "omg ur a boy you cant play as a girl!!!". Im restricted from playing games like tomb raider now. Because that has a girl character.

Again with the gf/bfs. My REAL LIFE girlfriend plays and again we get idiots insulting us.

We SHOULD be able to play a game and not have some nobody from across the world judge what we are doing.

I've played both as a boy and a girl (flare is a girl!) on Runescape and the differences are obvious.

For one, you are MUCH more likely to get dissed/insulted/picked on as a boy than you are as a girl.

Where girls are much more likely to be bugged about "gf" crap...

Boys are expected to have stupidly high levels and if you do have those levels expect a lot of "haha my main has 950 combat and 2058375 woodcutting"

Girls on the other hand tend to get the "OMG you're teh godly" treatment...

You *quickly* find out who's nice and who isn't as a girl because it takes a lot less time for horny teenagers to break to the graphical sights of "jiggling" and go "I LOVE YOU". If someone doesn't do this for a week-month they're usually just talking to you because they like you as you are not because your graphic jiggles!
(I say teenagers but I really mean the mindless kids...)

As a boy you're more likely to have a little more fun with the sexual inedeuo or however you spell it. Whereas girls tend to be "freaky" if they even join in unless they're very careful in their choice of words... Weird but true...

Girls also get a crapload of free stuff...usually for no reason but just for being a girl in the game. I notice that most people do this particulary to girls with good "spoken" english as opposed to girls who speak in "gangsta" and show off a tomboyish vocabulary "Ya! teh r0x0rz my b0x0rz" sort of stuff...

Overall I prefer being a girl in game. If i'm not in the mood for the "gf" crap I block the kids (who's numbers are fewer in members). People seem to be more friendly, less competetive and more respectful in general although not always. And it beats being bugged for levels and then getting the same "OMG I OWN j00" crap that just floods me on my old male character...

That's me, hope it gives you some idea of what i've seen. :D

lol all that girl stuff is sooo true.(girl in real life and game :P )I get alot of free stuff yeah,it's quite fun! :D People havn't asked me to be bf/gf lately,I dunno maybe it's because I'm wearing more armor and less pink dwarf outfits.

One time I got a bf in game for fun,-and I was tired of him bugging me too lol-he told me he was 11 like me and then later after we "broke up" he told me he's 16...I had no idea whether I should kill him(I certainly could have)or thank him. :?
I have a boyfreind now,but I consider it just a funny little in game thing only.I'm not too sure about him though...he calls me "baby" all the time. :)

I would never be a boy in runescape though. :P

this is like an age old question..freaking everybody asks it. i dont see anything wrong with it as long as its not sickening behavior (e.g lets go "do it" and they dance on each other..wtf) and has nothing to do with me. truth is some people are immature idiots and cant deal with a little maturity and others arent and can accept the fact that it is and WILL happen and can deal with having a "relationship" with someone online. its not that bad..mine is in rl as well so i guess its different but god deal with it people.

If it's getting annoying when they ask about being boyfriends or girlfriends and this discussion included me, I simply say the 5 most wonderful letters strung together: TAKEN. Then I walk away without having to worry about that person again. It's like saying 'I have nothing to give' to a 'phr33 stof plOz (Pick Lots Of Zits)'. True in some way.

In-game male and real life male. When I started out I used to wear a Black Skirt. It was the first piece of clothing I got, so I thought it was something special. Also, in real life when I go clubbing, I often wear a skirt that looks excactly like the Black Skirt. Anyhoo, the point is I've never received so much free stuff as I did when I walked around in that skirt. I even got full iron from somebody. It doesn't seem like much now, but back then it was incredible.

The funny thing is that my char has a bright red beard, so I guess those guys that gave me the free stuff (they were all male, surprise surprise) didn't take a closer look :)

Once has a girl asked me to be her in-game bf. I suspect, however, that it was either a kid messing around or some greedy ba5tad who just wanted free stuff, because when I asked her what she meant by being gf/bf she really did not have a clear picture of it either.

I'd never even consider an in-game relationship. I wouldn't even consider an online relationship (by email, chat or otherwise). Relationships are about feeling close to someone and you just can not have that without being able to actually touch the other person.

I do not, however, judge people who want to be in-game gf/bf. It does not concern me. Go, dance on each other in the bushes, call each other whatever sickeningly sweet names you can think of, give all your stuff to your gf, what do I care? If that keeps you amused then go ahead, knock yourselves out, none of my business.

All this bf/gf thing is pretty stupid and meaningless IMO. It is not so bad being a girl in RS as some says, there is some foul mouthed persons and followers (i call them my personal bodyguards, but they are usually too low lvl to keep that job ) but not so many that it will ruin a fun. And we are also blessed with that "ignore" thing too...
