Not any more they have dropped to around 12k (12,000gp) on average and aren't as hard to get. I suggest going to Ogres if you wanna save yourself some money and gain some combat.

umm yea if u use supercompost, u get like 10 rannarrs from 1 seed :shock:

Super compost doesn't affect how many you get though...? it just affects the chance of it growing successfully?

I have heard that with supercompost that you can get more per seed. I have never tried it though.

. Yes it does increase the amount of herbs aquired from the seed, only by a couple though. Usually 1-3. If you have the time your best buying loads of rannar seeds, using super compost on the herb patch and planting the seeds. Then go off and do something else, fishing is usually a good idea if you are growing in catherby after every 2-4 rounds of fish go check on the herbs. If you like I can't stand fishing go do something like writing a guide or inproving your favourite forums *cough* insert subliminal messaging here *cough*. Most people could do with a guide to something or other or a map of something. Just make the project and post it on here :wink:

i know from experience... i got like 7/8 rannars wit super compost.... its awesome... really... and u dont need the pot from the quest, u can make it urself, the supercompost is like 13 rannars per seeds :shock:

alot... u can buy seeds for 15k, and sell rannars at 20k profit per seeds or 60k per 1 hour 30 min :shock:

, anyways, as said in the quote above, it truely is awesome! Its worth doing the quest as well (5k farming Xp). Like I said above just plant 'em and entertain yourself with something else then go back and pick 'em. Repeat.

Got ya covered Creepy old boy.

The easiest way to make super compost is by using pineapples.
Oh sure, you could use herbs avantoe and above, as well as higher
level farming produce and all tree roots, but that's wasteful!

Trick is to go to Brimhaven and pick all 5 pineapple plants for
25 pineapples, go to shilo bank, rinse and repeat. By the time you get
back to the plants the pineapples should've respawned by then, depends
if you walk or not.

Super compost is well worth it, les chance of plants dieing sure...
but you also get a LOT more produce. I usually get anywhere from
5-8 herbs per seed, and the most I've gotten was 12 irits. They usually
don't get diseased, but it's good to check every so often, that or use
an Amulet of Nature. I just plant an herb, go fish on catherby's shores,
then go check it whenever i need to.

Also, the time for 1 set of super compost to decay is about as long
as it takes an herb to grow, 70 minutes.
