i think you need to specify you question more..what kind of avatars? do you want to put it in your avatar space or just make one? be specific and elaborate more and maybe people will be able to help

u culd use paint or photoshop or wateva, it doesnt matter!

i use photoshop 2 make buddies 4 my sig!

basically you can use any graphics/design program something like paint or photoshop are common ones. you simply make the piece of work you want to be a avatar small enough to fit..if you need someone to make one for you the graphics market is a good place to start
