If anyone has picked up on the trend, all of the major quest series (Ardougne, Keldagrim, Desert) are heading towards some type of confrontation, but will it actually happen? Or will another power step in at the last moment (God of balance?) and quell the disturbance? I await in earnest the follow-ons to these quest series.

i think its gonna be the old saradomin and zamorak versus zaros war again, if that happens, because loads of little things point towards some origin in zaros, and possibly may lead to you freeing zaros accidently.heres two of the things i found pointing to zaros rising:

ancient staff (we all know this one) is a zaros symbol
canifis and mort'ton are shaped like the zaros talisman found in the digsite quest, maybe in the god wars zaros rules morytania?is there still supporters hiding in mort myre?

another example of war..they will be working more on npc vs npc fighting.we see how that worked for the gnomes and khazard....

i don't think there is coming a war cause of what pika said but there is something big happening...

I noticed a few things as well. Something to consider before we think about an all-out war.

- I'm sure those who completed the Regiside know what's ... who's coming.
- The Zamorakian magi are holding the portal open. Supposing they want to let the abyssal creatures out?
- Those who did that ghostly robes mini-game and read everything would know that Zar ... the Empty Lord had been defeated by General Zamorak and his powers transfered to Zamorak. Frankly, if it's any special god coming, I think it would be Armadyll. We haven't really seen or heard of him in action yet.
- If the wise old man was preparing for war with those maces and all, why did he rob the bank just to decorate his house? He claims that he had been brought down to live in that 'rusty old shack' and he hated it, but I'm not stopping him from a quiet life on Entrana. Maybe someone else is?
- Those who did Mourning's End Part 1 would know that the elves are trying to get to an underground temple and are using West Ardougne as a digging area, and you're being trusted by them. Perhaps in the next part, you are to choose a side. Lest it be Saradomin or Zamorak (Kinda wish most quests had this option).

Nice finds Alex. I am starting to get really curious about what it going to happen. I am thinking now it couldn't be a full out war. How are they going to do that in the game and not effect the people that haven't finished some of the quests you mentioned. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
