Runescape May Be Banned in China!

Basically they may want people who play to provide proof of age that they are 18 or above. Because of Pk'ing.

I don't think they'll be able to control that. I mean, how can they control a game like RS? Maybe games like Everquest and such, but I don't think RS. But why are they so fed up with online gaming? So they'll let their kids play GTA San Andreas (if the parents do), but not a game that you kill other players online in a fantasy world? That's odd.

they should really be worrying about all those ppl who copy movies and sell em to people

umm...I guess you don't watch the news much, but a couple months ago they were talking about the Chinese government doing stuff like that.

Whoa, RS is going crazy! Well, at least China is. This really doesn't make sense, because a 12 year old could probably walk into an EB Games store, buy GTA:SA, and the staff wouldn't care, not mentioning what goes on in that game is way more than killing. Why is China so dumb? Besides, when you die, your character only respawns, and their is no blood or gore.

Bleh, I wish that was true...I was up in Maryland visiting some friends, went to the game store (Game Crazy?), tried to buy GTA: VC (GTA: SA was out...but I'm poor) I'm 16 and they wouldn't let me get it....I had to run back to my friends house and get one of my other friend's brothers just to get a 2 year old game....

My god you let them play games that are rated AO and you are worried about a no blood, no swearing (most of the time :wink:
