Hacked... IP known... what now?

So I go away on vacation for a week and come back and I can't log in to RS. I try my password that I am sure it is followed by two others that it probably isn't and none work.

I've never given my password to anyone.

I am now running a virus scan on the PC. No virus found yet (51208 objects scanned out of ???)

What now?!?!? Do I plan for the worst? I hate to think of what I lost, when and if RS Admin give me a new password. And the saddest thing is that the most valuable item I lost is probably worth 100k at most. I have such crap, but man I worked pretty hard to get it.

I have this sad feeling that I am going to end up with an empty bank and spending the rest of my month before I just let my subscription expire on raising my currently 1 ranged skill. Since I'd be better off without my rune armor for that skill anyway. sniff

Anyone want to bet or give me an idea of how long it takes them to respond to fools like me who have mysteriously lost my password or were *shudder* hacked?

Anyone want to bet what I'll have left or if my friends list will be messed with just to jerk me around?

Ahh well. Time will tell.

(I am attaching my signature so I can just check and make sure someone didn't raise my levels while I was away. hahahaha waaaahhhh)

Tough Luck, I got hacked like a week ago and lost 6 mil. :cry:

You have to use your recovery questions and change your pass.

I dont know. I dont know half the times how my friends get hacked because they never visit any key logger sites and such...Just bad luck i suppose..Heres my plan to get me happy again..

20k Yew Logs (Cut them ALL!) + 20k Bow Strings (String and Pick them ALL!) = 11 mil plx!

i never been hacked proberly because i dont have any money or any thing of value the most expencive thing i think i got is full rune

I am in the same boat. And sadly, you have to figure the hackers probably come from here most of the time.

If I had some random keylogger on my system, which after a thorough check, I don't. What interest would they have in RuneScape? I would bet that passwords on this site aren't encrypted when you log in and it wouldn't be too much to capture them and try them on RS.

i dont ever use the same pass for anything i do a virsus scan every 2 days and the use spy bot search and destroy----remember always change ur passes every week

Full Rune Armor

Rune Scimitar

Ring of Wealth

Red Mystic Gloves

Black (g) kite and platebody

About 50 unid herbs, probably low level

About 1k bronze arrows

500 bowstrings

100k in gold

All my ore, probably no more than 50 of any one type

A colored egg that fell out of a nest

Some assorted seeds

Most of my runes

And probably some other stuff that I forgot that I had in the first place.

Well, when I logged in the first time after the hack, I got the IP address of the person who was last in before me:

85.206.21.233

Anyone want to figure out who that is?

I mailed that info to RuneScape along with a plea for a response so I know they are at least looking into the situation to find the jerk who did it, but it has been two days and they haven't responded yet...
