darts or arrows?

which is the better ranging ammo arrows or darts?

I would definately say arrows. I haven't really used darts much, they can be handy if you need to range a dragon and need to have a dragonfire shield, because darts are one-handed.

they seem faster and uses only 1 feather per dart which is nice

Darts if you can afford like ALOT of them. They are weaker but they are alot faster. Darts for like fire giants and stuff since they dont have thick armor. Darts and knives are mainly for power ranging.

I don't like darts much, I used up my rune darts that I got from steel dragons a long time ago on dust devils and stuff...

Although the rune darts were fast, they hit the same as iron arrows.. I prefer using arrows over the darts...

Arrows arrows arrows. Next are throwing knives. Darts arent worth the money you spend of the time to make them. Stay with arrows!

I can't really vote becuase it depends on what you are killing. Like Dan said darts would be good on dragons becuase they are one handed but if you are killing something else or killing a dragon behind something that can block the fire then arrows are the better choice.

Best ranging xp is obviously cannon's... but for other stuff I think knives are better then the arrows, but crystal bow is also really good experience.

If you are gonna use crystal bow lots, I believe it goes down to a minimum of 175k per bow it you keep recharging.... and crystal bow is 2500 shots, so if you use it lots, it will eventually go down to 70gp per shot for damage better then rune arrows even when the bow is 1/10. With the crystal bow there are no arrows to pick up, and you'll kill stuff fast with high hits. I think its worth it...

Here's how I rank ranging stuff in my opinion for best xp...
Cannon > Crystal Bow > Knives > Arrows > Darts > Throwing Axes > Javelins

But for cost-xp ratio I think this is how I would rate:
Arrows > Darts > Knives > Javelins > Throwing Axes > Crystal Bow > Cannon
