There's already a June 3rd release date set for the next map pack? ..seriously? and it costs another $15? http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/108/1089604p1.html

To buy both packs is an additional $30 over retail. Lame. I won't lie though, Carnival does sound cool.

Carnival – Desolate amusement park with excellent vantage points for snipers. It's "unlike anything we've ever done before," said Bowling. The map takes place during the daytime and includes all original art and model assets. Bowling added that the team really wanted to include this in the first map pack, but the team needed additional time for polish. It's a fairly large map and includes many set pieces, such as roller-coasters, a fun house, and bumper cars.

Aren't there enough snipers in pretty much FPS every game? Stop catering to them!

Agreed. Plus it seems that the majority of the 'snipers' are just running around with sniper rifles and noscoping / quick scoping at enemies less than 50ft away. That's not what a sniper rifle is for.

But yea, charging another $30 on top of the $50 or $60 list price is just greedy. Unfortunately, people will pay for it, and it'll just bring more of them in the future.

It's also got yet more recycled maps just like the first one. I should point out i bought Alan Wake today and because i bought it brand new i got a free Avatar shirt that i dont care about so much and i get the first DLC that comes out for free..that i care about more which is apparently a whole chapter so hurray.

...What? Might as well advertise some good stuff in with the **** stuff.

So, you pay $60 for the game, $15 for the first map pack and another $15 for the second map pack just a few months later.
$90 for a mediocre game and some extra maps. What the ****, I could get two better games for the same price.

This is assuming you didn't buy the super duper ultra edition that came in at over $100. What sort of person pays that for a video game.

I can't believe this. Activision has pushed its limits once again asking for people to shell out another $15 for 2-3 maps. I mean the reason why they put up those maps for such high prices is because they know that people will buy them. I haven't touched my MW2 copy in months now and might trade it or just sell it on eBay soon.

I'd like to play these maps, but $30 for 10 maps is highway robbery.

That's half the price of the retail game which included 16 maps, single player, multiplayer, and special ops. Somehow 10 maps equals half the value of what you get there? Anyone with a brain can see it is total bs.

Glad that Red Dead Redemption and Alan Wake are released this Tuesday.
