Did anyone else here get a hold of a Beta key for the PC version of BF:BC2?
I grabbed mine a few days ago and have gotten hooked despite some annoying little changes(No prone? WTF).

Looks light a really good game and has really advanced from Battlefield 2 for the PC. XD No I haven't gotten a beta key but if I can get one, I think I'll try it out. But really, no prone?

I have played the Demo on XBL and I highly enjoy it. Feels really action packed and intense. It's more strategic too, which should keep all the MW2 Juggernaut assholes out and away from the game.

Honestly feels like a day one buy for me.

What makes it more strategic? (This isn't a challenge, rather its a serious question :D )

The whole health system for one. Basically from what I understand in this game your health does re spawn, but at a very slow rate. This makes a bit easier for snipers to kill people (instead of hitting the target, not killing them, and the target going Rambo once his health respawns). Your health can respawn faster if you have a medic, which is also very neat.

Which leads onto the whole class system. There are four classes, Assault (Assault rifles, Grenade launchers, and Side Arm, Ammo pack), Engineer (Silenced SMGs, RPGs, Repair Drill, Target Marker), Medic (LMGs, Side arm, Health pack, and Defibrillator) And Recon (Sniper, Side Arm, C4, Proximity Grenades).

The Class system plus the health system add up for some strategic value. Assault is very usually for taking out other persons. While all other classes are good at that, Assault has the ammo pack which gives you ammo. This helps it keep killing. The Engineer is the only class which can take out enemy vehicles from a distance, but has limited ammo. This makes it valuable to have it terms of taking out enemy vehicles, and its very useful when it has a Assault by its side.

The Medic is also useful. Being able to revive lost assets (People) on the battlefield and heal them is very useful. This may sound overpowered, but figure if your reviving other dead medics and theres a tank killing you, what then? The Medics LMGs are accurate, but not very powerful. So it's p to Engineers or Assaults to take other personnel out.

Then you have Recon (Sniper) which just provides long range support. Not really a team player, but still very useful for setting traps with its C4. Basically the vehicles, class, and health system all make a fun and strategic game. TBH Just go play the **** thing as I'm not very good at explaining things.

Just believe on the fact that this WILL be a major competitor to MW2. MW2 made a major mistake trying to be BF by adding big vehicles to a game which previously had hardly any. Then theres the continual support by EA and Dice. They provided both FREE and low-costing (400 MSP) addons for the first and I have no doubt they will do the same for this one.

So your saying it's pretty similar to the first Bad Company?

Thats what I am worried about it being. The first Bad Company was really fun, (I racked up like 7 days on it in a short period of time) but now I can't go back to it and so that is a risk for me about BFBC2.

Also, on the strategy side, I think there are two different kinds of strategy. There is the strategy in Cod, that mostly takes place in SnD, and there is he strategy in the games like Halo and Bad Company. I get the strategy Sev explained, but I prefer the Cod strategy more.

But there is no doubt in my mind that it will compete with MW2, especially w/ all the complaints, but just like Bad Company 1, it wont beat it out.

Yes it is similar, but it feels more streamlined. Feels more CoDish.

It's like the good aspects of CoD and put them in, and took the bas aspects of BF out. I played the first BF and I didn't like it nearly as much as this one.
