That's about $170

Oh and:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread. ... c9d5d9e489d&t=370462
It's laughable that he says that. He knows most consumers are **** idiots, hes got there number well and truly.

I'd just like to thank everyone that bought these stupid *** games that require plastic ******* controllers for far above there true value. Everyone that's preordered MW2. Behold a glimps of the future. Expect prices to rise further; Not because they need to simply because they can.

Oh don't think guitar hero is immune. Did you not hear? COD:MW2 has broken preorder records. Congratulations price rise confirmed. Expect all your games to rise in price now. The UK is the second largest gaming market in the world. Next to America. This will spread out to the rest of Europe who frankly already have it worse than us.

Did i meantion DJ Hero is going for $120? A plastic box going for $120. Taking bets on European pricing now@ I'm betting £150

To put this fabulous news into perspective you can buy an X360 Pro for £160 here. Or an Arcade for £120. For £20 more you can buy a console.

edit: Oh and you can also buy a decent skateboard. Yes that too. Plenty of skate parks around too. At least where i live.

Why fork out $170 for a plastic skateboard when you can get a decent one for half that and get yourself some lessons on how to skate?

I dunno about that, over here at least MW2 isn't any more expensive than any other new game. Not that I'm going to buy it anyway.

There simply testing the waters. If one market accepts it they'll make a push for others. Certain stores in America have up'ed the price. Canada has price increases too according to Mike. It's a matter of time.

Is it not possible to still use the controller, and get this without the skateboard?

I doubt it, they eliminated that from the Guitar Hero games, obviously to increase sales.

Is anyone really going to buy Tony Hawk games anymore now that skate is out? And DJ Hero does look fun, but I would never par $120 for it. I can understand raising prices of regular games as next gen consoles come out but not during current generation consoles. But, if they do increase prices, there are always ways to get it cheaper. Not to mention, prices increasing equals piracy levels increasing.

You can clearly see games makers are willing to do anything to make money...

This was rather useless, Still must be fun to play sometimes. But must get incredibly boring after 1 month of playing.

I really dont see myself spending 170 bucks for that.

Ya, or you could just get your xbox flashed. :D
But seriously;
wat
Firstly, the skateboard isn't even designed very well. That could be done by pretty much any 10 year old with Photoshop 6, secondly, as previously mentioned, Skate. 2 is a perfect game for any skateboarder; realistic, fun, addictive, plenty of online options, graphics- bar the glitches, and thirdly, as also mentioned, you can buy an average complete (full skateboard) for that.
