PC games

So with my new computer being more able to handle games, I'm planning on getting into PC gaming. Could anyone recommend some good PC games, beside counterstrike since I already have it.

Probably going to get a few "games for windows" so I can double up on achievements. If the game would support the use of an Xbox 360 controller (via wireless receiver thing) that's a plus.

Battlefield 2 is still a fun game. I play it quite a lot.
Also if you want a free RPG game, Diablo 3 is coming out sometime soon so keep an eye out for that

call of duty 4 is a must-have.

others I have enjoyed in the past have been starcraft, burnout paradise, Race driver grid, and the countless free mmorpgs including maplestory, etc.
I've heard good things for crysis, as well as left 4 dead. so you could give those a try as well.

well if you like guitar hero get frets on fire that is fun to play on the laptop

Uh, isn't that quite the opposite? No keyboard on a laptop, it'd be just stupid.

All Age of Empire games are good to play. Have decent campaigns and you can play online with friends.

Warcraft 2 and 3 are fairly fun games too, they get kind of old after a while though

Get CoD4, epic mods. Get Garry's Mod, Audiosurf, The Sims 3 when it comes out, and get Fallout 3. Great PC games.
