What will you remember when you're old?

When you're all old and wrinkly and obviously not playing computer games any more (because old people play bingo and nothing else), what gaming moments/events will you look back on and remember?

Me;

My first gaming moment; playing Sonic the Hedgehog on the Master System II for the first time, then, not being able to figure out how to play Alex Kidd in Miracle World. (Old skoolers will know why ;D)

The Missingno. Cheat in Pokemon red

First being introduced to the MMO genre by friends who played RSC back in '02; getting ***** off with fatigue and attempting to mine. Then, quitting until about '04.

Completing Halo 3 on release day. Probably one of my most "hardkore" gaming achievements ever.

Completing NiGHTs into Dreams for the first time... nine or ten years after it came out. (I bought a new sega saturn in '07)

Probably playing my Sega Megadrive for the first time on Sonic the Hedgehog.

There's the Missingno cheat on pokémon Red & Blue, then figuring it wouldn't work on Yellow.. after like 100 tries

Then the PS1. And how to play chipped games by putting a pokemon card in the lid catch

So many memories...

The first time I ever beat a video game... I was 4, and the game was Super Mario 64 (or whatever) for the Nintendo 64. I gathered my family around to watch me kick Bowser's *** one last time, and save the princess. Ever since that day, my cousins (who love to watch me play) have called me the "Gaming Master". It's pretty funny, too. 'cause, you know, I'm good at games, but I'm not a gaming master.

Another time was when I beat Star Fox 64, that was another 'gather my family around to watch me beat the game' moment. As soon as I hit Andross that last time, my Uncle (Who was awesome at Star Fox) said "Holy ****, a 6 year-old beat Star Fox? You're good."

(Notice: These are the first two games I've ever played that had a storyline. Mario 64 was probably the game I first played, or it was Mario Kart 64. Dunno which. Was a long time ago.)

I remember waking up Christmas morning when I was in first grade and getting a special edition Pokemon gameboy along with the yellow version. I then proceeded to nag my dad all day to help me read the words.

hmm...Completing the first Halo with some friends at a birthday party on legendary, then doing a "system link" match on halo 2, 8 people total. Me and one of my friends were the only ones who knew how to double/quad shot so we were apparently desirable teammates. The rest of the group knew BxR but weren't good at the timing.

Can't think of many more. I probably will later though.

I'm sure.. I will probably be on so many pills, that I wont remember who I am

but if i could remember.. it would probably be about the Super Mario Bros.

Not sure if I'll remember anything when I'm old, but if I could remember some moments from my youth, I'd like to remember all of the fun times on RuneScape (C'mon, this is a RS related forum..Of course I'd remember RS). Remembering the first games being played when I was four or five years old on some old DOS machine, playing Sonic on a Sega Genesis, playing Twisted Metal on the PS1, or going through some of the games on the PS2.

The switch to PC gaming would be great to remember, expecially our fun multiplayer matches on the Halo:CE Trial servers. Those were the times..
Going through Call of Duty 4 many many times over, playing through Valve's long line of games, becoming a zombie killer.. Ah. Memories like that would be great to have.

GTA series. I felt in love with the franchise when I was 9 (a little young for these type of games :oops:

). It gave me what other action games couldn't. The ability to go wherever I want. There were no "invisible walls", there were no limits, there was no "Go do A, then do B". I love the GTA franchise of every inch of my living body. It had a huge impact on my gaming life.

I can honestly remember getting our very first computer which my dad took from work because it was to old. It was prolly 1993-94 somewhere around there. I can remember thinking these things are not gonna take off what the hell do you do on them. There is so much ill be able to tell my kids one day, VHS, tapes, Rabbit ears tv, my mom writing checks.

Getting my first ever console (Game Boy Color) and video game (Pokemon Crystal).

I'll probably also remember my first experiences with Runescape which introduced me to MMORPGs.

Pokemon blue/red, those games where so epic at the time. Real shame they just got copied and pasted so much.

Golden eye on the N64, the multiplayer was so much fun, add in perfect dark co-op such a blast. Timesplitters on the PS2 as well for that matter. Super smash brothers was so freaking funny as well, 4 friends just **** around for hours.

Funny really, from the PS2/N64 days i have memorys of playing with friends, working together.

Yet the 360 years I've fond memory's of team killing and acting a ****. :lol:

Team killing on shadowrun was some of the greatest fun I've had on live, slicing them from behind and making htem bleed out. :lol:

Then as there screaming down the mic REV ME REV ME you do it, only to slice them again and there just dumb struck wondering how the hell it's happening.

Luring people into claymores on COD4, wacking out sheilds in Halo 3, Glitching straight out the map in subway and headshotting people.

Getting on opposite teams in gears of war with a friend and then both surviving till the end and over killing each other, just **** around till the game drew rotfl or better yet, getting a friend to block the door so his team can't get in and kill me. Hahaha, oh man good times all round.

Yeah, lots of **** that I'll laugh at for sometime.
