Just got to level 6, night elf zone is boring as hell the only interesting part was the giant walking tree and that soon got dull, just done some stupid quests involving going to a bunch of wells and filling up a vial..I'll be happy when i can leave.

Teldrassil is well boring to me now; originally I chose night elf (at least 4 times) simply because they look cooler than the other alliance factions, except draenei, but the quests there really do suck. -.-

You could always run through Darnassus and then get the boat to Menethil and run through the wetlands to the gnome/dwarf area and do the quests there. You'd die a fair bit going through the wetlands but the quests are better.

What i want to know is how do i get into raiding and doing dungeon crawls with groups, no one in wow talks, you never really see big groups of people in one area and any guilds I've looked at, use weird gobbly talk that i don't understand. XD

Seems I've missed the ship, how the hell does a newbie start some of the cool stuff, I'm just stuck questing. :(

edit: Obviously i know I'm to low a level for it but i meant at higherish.

Not many people do low level dungeons really. Some lower level dungeons are quite popular; Scarlet Monastery (has 3 wings ranging from late 20s to early late 30s in level), Deadmines which is primarily alliance since it's in westfall around levels 18-24. And a few others. Majority of people seem to focus on just leveling quickly rather than doing dungeons, although dungeons in outlands (58+) are generally run more. And as far as raiding goes, you'd need to get yourself in a good raiding guild at 70.

And none of the cool stuff comes until you get a higher level sadly :(

You'd gain a level or 2 in the process aswell. If you did it from level 1.
I did the opposite with my gnome since I knew the nelf starting area so well.

Personally I think druid is the best class for someone starting off, put all your talent points in feral and get any item that has str, agi or stam. As for raiding, with a druid you have 3 options, you can be a tank bear, a healing tree or a lazorboomchicken. If you haven't bought the expansion I'd so do as the rewards from quests on the draenei isle are much better and actually contain stats. Generally the progression of raiding is
Normal 70 instances
Heroic Instances (honoured with a certain faction to enter)
Karazhan (crappy 10 man dungeon with some decent drops)
Gruul's (2 bosses with barely any trash inbetween)
Magtheridon (1 boss, barely any trash)
Zul'Aman (awesome 10 man dungeon with endgame drops and the first place that really requires tactics)
Serpentshrine Cavern (first 25 man raid)
Tempest Keep (the flying citadel of a blood elf prince 25 man again)
Mount Hyjal (25 man raid where you travel back in time to defeat some demons)
Black Temple (25 man raid with some of the best bosses i've ever seen)
Sunwell Plateau (it's unlikely you'll see this.)
Any random questions about good spots/guides/quests and i'll be happy to help ^_^

People have cleared Black temple in full S3. Gear is no replacement for skill.

Sunwell Plateau is the top tier raid dungeon in WoW at the moment. Only a handful of the best guilds have downed the last boss (Partially summoned Kil'Jaeden) and to even get in to an SP raiding guild you'd need raid experience and black temple level gear. Which you're unlikely to get before the expansion.

The raid dungeons in WoW are kinda tiered.

Karazhan > Zul'Aman/Gruul > Serpentshrine Cavern/Tempest Keep > Black Temple > Sunwell Plateau

You need to have at least a few pieces of KZ gear to be geared for ZA/Gruul and so on. But with badge loot (all raid bosses drop badges, you can then exchange these badges for gear at vendors) you can gear up quicker for BT since the latest badge loot is at BT level.

Hope that makes some sense.

So let me get this straight, to get in dungeons..you need to do other dungeons and acquire the right gear in them in order to move on?

And why do i get the feeling people have a habit ofignoring older dungeons and just repeatedly doing the same ones? Please tell me I'm wrong and theres actually variety.

Yeah. Raiding follows a pretty linear progression line.

And yup, most of the old 60 dungeons (Molten Core, Naxxramas, Ahn Qiraj et.c) are pretty much ignored now or just raided for nostalgia purposes. I'm sure when wotlk comes out all the old 70 dungeons and raids will be ignored and everyone will focus on the new level 80 dungeons and raids.

It's impossible to kill Illidan or Mother in full tier 3, just utterly impossible, if you mean the Tier 3 Snapshot of Illidan dead then the majority put that on just for the picture.

There's guilds that still just do Karazhan, your best bet is to make a character on a server containing another rsbandber and then they can boost you through low level dungeons quickly and get decent gear, personally I go through as many zones doing as many quests as I can.

I didn't say tier 3. I said S3, the season 3 pvp gear.

It's not as if Black Temple is hard anymore. It's been stealth nerfed every patch since it was released. Blizzard are so eager for everyone to 'see the content' they water it down to the level that you'd need to be frothing at the mouth and a complete retard to not be able to do it.

Didn't the first guild to down Illidan do it in T3? It might just have been kara though...
They were Chinese.
