I have tried the 3d, and I have no problem with it. Doesn't make my eyes hurt or anything. And Oot 3D, has amazing 3D, it looks just **** amazing.....I don't know what your definition of good 3D is, but it looks pretty nice. FYI if comparing it to movie theater 3d, yeah the movie 3d is obviously going to be better.

I'd wait till they launch the newer model. 3 hour battery life on the current. And theres a nasty rumour giong around that the remake will add a second thumb stick..which will be pretty retarded if it turns out to be true. And it's looking like it might be true.

Newer model probaly has a bigger screen as well.

I actually saw the 3ds for the first time in real life yesterday, the effect is a nice feature though I really had a hard time focussing my eyes for the first 10 seconds or so. Not sure if I'm going to buy one. And if I do I'll probably import an American 3ds. Games are tons cheaper there.
For example:

Zelda OoT is $30 in the US (that's around €21). Here I've got to pay €49,99 (that's around $71) for the EU version. It's pathetic

A lot of Europeans that i know order theres from the UK as it's a lot cheaper as well. If that still true i don't know. Ocarina was being sold here for £30..most titles drop quickly in price (but as it's nintendo this will stick at £30 for years to come ) that's what? Like 35 euros? Probably save a bit on shipping..it works out.
