What would HD accomplish? The graphics aren't that great to begin with.

Yeah.... Microsoft completely crushed Nintendo. They pretty much took the entire Wii system, improved it by a vast amount, made it worth using, and made it add-on for the 360.

I believe Microsoft won again this year. Ninetendo failed as always Sony's new PSP is just a watered down PSP of sorts, and their new motion controller is far behind Project Natal.

Props to Microsoft for keeping their console fresh and entertaining.

Sure is Xbox owners around here.

Ooookay my unbiased comparison. First up motion controls:

Natal: I really don't want to jump around like a **** retard and talk to a **** camera. I mean the idea is good and all but how are you going to execute any non-casual games? Impossible.

MotionPlus: Did anyone even watch the Ubisoft conference? (Wouldn't be surprised actually, the first 30 minutes were downright terrible) The Red Steel 2 gameplay demo really showed what it can do, finally bringing realistic sword combat into gaming. And since it still works on a CONTROLLER, I'll have BUTTONS to press and not just yell my commands to a camera. Goodbye wagglan.

Next up, games:

Microsoft: Rehashes, shootans, and lots of expected stuff. Some games stood out but nothing I really want.

Nintendo: I admit, way too much casual crap, but overall I think Nintendo featured more interesting games, like Metroid M, Mario Galaxy 2, Golden Sun DS, Final Fantasy etc. No Zelda was a disappointment though.

Too bad I didn't see the Sony conference, it seemed pretty interesting as well but for me I'd say Nintendo won this one.

Can't say which was the better. They all had unique things, all had exciting games coming. I'd not be upset to be an owner of any of the 3.

The only negatives i can give is Sony went on a bit to much about sales but made up for it later on. I especially liked the mario kart/little big planet racer. That thing is going to be a blast if it keeps going the way it is. Also loved the new metroid and Crackdown is still the best sandbox game this gen so a sequal is exciting.

edit:

Dug upt he red steel 2 video;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gabRtSLzjk

I'm skeptical about it cause of how **** the original was. It still looks ugly. Assuming you get full control over the sword (I'm not convinced by that video the sword swipes all look similar like theres only 2-3 ways and after how they flat out **** LIED about red steel 1 through their adverts I'm not buying into it off the bat) it might turn out to be good. The graphics really do let it down though, I hate to be a graphic ***** but it's hard to get into something when you've been spoiled graphically by the competition.

Try finding actual footage from the Ubisoft conference, they showed some player/game comparison as well and it seemed pretty much perfectly responsive.

Also, Nintendo speculation:
-2 years ago SSBB was announced at a secret conference. No mention of it was made during the regular conference.
-Miyamoto did not appear at all at the conference today.
-It is also said that Miyamoto will hold a keynote later tonight.

I WANT TO BELIEVE. ZELDAAAAAAAAA

Pikmen 3 has been confirmed to be in the making. If anything it'll be that, bound to be out this year as it was announced at last years E3. Never palyed a pikmen game before so it'll be interesting to see.

I'll try and dig up some more red steel 2 videos i suppose.

Reggies been saying Pikmin 3 might be making an appearance yet. And Galaxy 2 is supposed to be a bit more challenging..more towards the old mario style. Which is good, although I'm still missing 4 stars on Galaxy one is a race, two are purple coins and i don't remember the other 1

And Eurogamers had hands on with Natal:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/e3-project-natal-hands-on

Impressive that they got it working with burnout. o.0 I'd like to see them apply it to a shooter or RPG, something that's a bit more compplex to see how it handles.

Kind of a late post here, but here goes.

Microsoft defiantly dominated the competition. The "Milo" project looked interesting enough if it was legit and real, but I want to see more of it. Project Natal is obviously trying to target even a bigger range of audiences, but personally I could care less for the whole "motion sensing". My main concern is if will support other 360 tittles and will you be able to play a large variety games with it. If so, then how?

I couldn't be more excited for the new MGS game considering the fact that I already sold my PS3 couple of months ago and am huge MGS series fan. I literally crapped my pants when I say Kojima go on the stage and was rubbing my eyes on whether it was an illusion or not. I also appreciated Microsoft's being "straight to the point" throughout the whole presentation. There was a minimum amount of talking. It was just developers going on the stage and showing demos for their games.

Now onto the games. I must say I was highly impressed with Splinter Cell: Conviction considering the fact that the game has been in a development for a pretty long time. I liked the much more aggressive stealth approach and in fact that even if the enemy notices you it won't be big of a problem considering that in how many ways you can kill your opponent now. I was kind of surprised to see Left 4 Dead 2 releasing this year. Modern Warfare 2 looked as impressive as usual. Looks like a terrific game, but probably won't out do it's predessor (COD4). I was little bit dissapointed not seeing GTA IV: Ballads of *** Tony trailer or gameplay footage, but it remained an impressive presentation netherless. I am defiantly looking forward to a large variety of games this year.

HD cartoons? Seems pointless as it wouldn't be much improvement.

So you didn't really notice a difference when Runescape HD was launched?
