So this year it looks like the threes are going to be battling it off.

or

so will you get any of these or both or what?

Whole new engine with awesome destruction and a strong PC following and dynamic gameplay vs. a recycled game engine with recycled content from MW2, generic run 'n' gun gameplay where I could just go play CS:S.DM for, and then selling the maps from MW2 and BO for $15 a pop?

Hmm. Tough choice.

Both ideally in the future. If I had to pick one over the other, I'd say Battlefield. CoD really needs to go away. Sometimes, when you keep beating a dead horse, there's nothing left but a bloody pulp. At that point, you should probably move on. Need I say more?

Honestly never been much of a BF player but dont have enough money to spend 60$ on each game so ill probably end up getting MW3 and regretting it but what can i say im a pretty big fan of MW2 so if they just took out the bad things such as Commando, Noob tubes, one man army, ect... then i think it should be a fun game.

o and @duke juker unfortunately COD will not be going away anytime soon as MW3 preorder sales are already crushing the records held by black ops.

Well don't further a terrible cause by buying each CoD game until Activision changes their ways.

Both BF3 and MW3 will be $60. Do the gaming industry a favor and buy BF3 this time around. You won't regret it.

I have put very little time into BF2 but maybe ill play it a bit more and see if i can get into the game as im adjusted to fast paced COD... but if anything i can always fall back on GOW which im really pumped for.

I never found Battlefield to be slow-paced, probably because I'm always the guy in the action (I like the assault roles the best). That and if I REALLY want blindingly fast gameplay, there's always Counter-Strike.

at this point none.

lets see which has a better single player component. if the single is crap, god only knows how bad the multi is.

If I were to buy either of them, it would probably be Modern Warfare 3 -- simply on account of the fact that I cannot play the Battlefield games for more than about 30 minutes at a time. They just do not suit my play style. I start playing one, and then I think, "oh hey, this is kinda fun". Then, about 10 minutes later, I'm ripping my hair out because of the 18 snipers and 5 tanks that comprise the entirety of the enemy team. Vehicles and camping ruin shooters for me, and Battlefield has an overabundance of both.

There he lay now, sick, miserable, filled with ill-will towards himself; full of hatred for the impulses toward life, full of suspicion of all that was still strong and happy. Well i flat out wont be buying MW3. Because 2 was garbage. And I'm waiting to see what this elite **** they've tacked on is.

I'm also holding back on BF3 because I've heard some worrying things about that. Like vehicles with regen health.

But BF3 is on my maybe list. MW3 is on my never list. Cause it sucks.

I'll be picking up Battlefield 3 as soon as I can. I've convinced a couple of people to get it (you guys know who you are), but I'll also eventually puck up MW3 for the campaign for some reason... Then play the multiplayer... Then do what I do with BO now and ***** about it every day.

Forgot to meantion - course it doesn't matter which i buy really I'll play them for about a month. Get bored and go back to TF2. Which is better than them both.
