If you purchased Borderlands GOTY or if you pre-ordered Duke Nukem, codes were sent out yesterday for you to try out the demo on your favorite system. I got my code for Steam, so I'm going to have to try it out this weekend, see if it'll be better than I'm currently hoping.

It's about 20-30 minutes of game. Just barely enough to judge, and it feels a bit console-porty.

At least they didn't do what Crysis 2 did and actually put in video settings and a "press any key to start" rather than a "press start".

Rather than taking the time and bandwidth to DL the demo, I watched TotalBiscuit's playthrough: if you have 40 minutes to waste, here it is:



It seems to be a great game, except that they messed up on one thing:

Why the hell would you limit it to only 2 weapons at a time?!? Duke Nukem is all about having a dozen weapons at a time, why would you make it so you can only have 2?!?

All of the other things are fine, I can even understand regen health, but no boot? We'll have to see what the full version brings us.

At the start of the demo I spent like five minutes looking for the mighty foot key.
