I enjoy the singleplayer but not the multiplayer, hopefully the campaigns will be good with minimal online achievements.
**** you online achievements!ODST takes place between 2 and 3 btw.

Yeah I said that. You said it takes place during Halo 2, it takes place after 2 but before 3. Just saying, don't want to argue about it.
Naa it doesn't because the Chief jumps after the Prophets ship..As you see in the trailer the ODST are dropping in AS the ship jumps. What you do in ODST is taking place at the same time as the events on the Halo in Halo 2, if the game goes on to the point where the Chief makes it back to earth then it carrys on through Halo 2 and into halo 3 but that's not likely.
The game is fan service really. I dunno how many had Xboxs and bought H2 but people where expecting an epic fight for earth and what they got was 2 mins of earth and then leaving it while it was being heavily attacked. A lot of people was upset actually. This is bungie being awesome and showing what happened on earth while the Chief was away.
Theres no real gap between H2/H3, the chief returns to earth in H2 with his badass one liner and in 3 he drops down to earth.

Anywho theres been more info released on ODST, theres no sheild because hes not a Spartan so health packs are back, it's much more tactical you can't just run in and murder 10 brutes like playing as a Spartan you have to pick your fights carefully. Weapons are weaker, your weaker, no duel weild n all that.
And it's being more focused on investigation. You've gotta track down your squad and while you do that you find clues n things that lead to cutscenes/scenes you can play. The entire city is one big sandbox too, you can explore everything apparently.
