The last scene shows you (technically just your hand, but that's essentially all you see during the game anyway) in a bed as an old man, with the former little sisters at your side as you die. If you're still you, you're a zombie who goes back down to Rapture, or you're a younger version of yourself before the events at the end of the last game.
If you're a new person, this could get quite interesting. The combat looks like it'll be quite fun, at least if you had tried the last game at all. Using contraptions instead of just your hand is different, but that probably 'enhances' the powers in some way. Having a Big Daddy drill is an interesting twist, but it looks like it can do some serious damage.
From what i gather you play as the very first big daddy..but it's set AFTER the first game. Go figure.
Bioshock was never meant to have a sequal, everything was wrapped up nicely in BS1 which is why i have my concerns over this one.
