PvP or PvE?

It's a pretty basic question. Do you feel more accomplishment through player vs player or play vs environment activity?

The only games I really have had both experiences with are WoW, Guild Wars, and RS. A lot of my inclination toward PvP actually started with WoW. Guild Wars had a very restricted sense of PvP given the layout of the game (since most of the world operates as personal instances/dungeons). I didn't care for PvP in either Runescape (laaame) or Guild Wars. At all.

WoW really made me get into PvP. I liked the idea of being able to experience player combat anytime and anywhere when you venture into contested territory. Rather than going to a designated arena to learn how to PvP, you learn early on how to defend yourself (except when a level 70 Tauren hunter comes to Redridge to one-shot you when you're level 20).

Thoughts? Hopes? Dreams??

i feel way more accomplished on pve cause someone could of had a bad day so when u pvp them they really didnt care cause they had a bad day

Depends what game it is. In MMOG i mostly get it from PvE cause theres usually to much luck involved with PvP for me to feel like i did anything towards the win.

In WOWs case, from what i can tell it mostly comes down to MY GEAR IS BETTER THAN YOUR GEAR YOU DIE NOW which again, sorta just takes away the win from me.

Game like a FPS, providing it's balanced I'm fine, i really enjoy RTS as well when I'm not being rushed.

But pvp is pretty fun if you have good stats though =D Unless lvl 70 nubs come up lol.

Well when I played WoW I always preferred PVE (mainly because in WoW the PVE is really good but the PVP is unbalanced ****) but now I've started playing Warhammer Online with a few old wow friends, a game which is much more based around PVP and I enjoy it a lot more. It's a lot less like wow where gear/level dictates who wins and a lot more based on skill and tactics.

PvE is Player vs Environment, RS example would be kalphite queen or KBD, WoW is instances/raids etc. No clue what goes on in Guild Wars.

On WoW, I dunno, I sorta preferred PvE but I liked to do a lot of arena too. So I guess both, I dunno what my fave was.

I prefer PvE. Organized PvP is great (battlegrounds), but I don't particularly enjoy getting backstabbed by every rogue of opposing faction who sees me while I'm trying to quest.

I hate RS PvP even more. At least WoW has predictable damages and outcomes. On RS, you may as well just roll dice against each other.

I've always preferred the singleplayer activities in games. Humans are always fun to play against, but too many variables come in to play, often for the worse.

I gotta say both.

I enjoy downing a huge mighty boss with 20+ more friends, but I also like killing someone alone in a forest 1v1

On Guild Wars, I always felt more accomplished in pvp. PvE was way too easy =/

PvP noobs is no fun but if your beating better players it defiantly has a great seance of achievement.
But saying that PvE is also great in the long run if its an on going task.
