Hmmm, where to start?
I am 48 years old (no bashing of the old folks please!) and married to Thelion777. I've been playing RS for 6 odd years, although I can't remember exactly how long. I was a free player for about 8 months before my husband confessed he too was playing, and when he admitted he paid for a membership for himself it convinced me to throw in the proverbial towel and get a membership too. I have a 2nd free account that I originally started in order to play slightly differently, but I found that I was playing the exact same way as my "main". I realized it was senseless to devote all those real life hours to 2 accounts, so I haven't logged into my 2nd acct in more than 5 years.
I have a 19 yr old daughter from a previous marriage who is to blame for my Runescape addiction. 6 years ago she introduced me to a "fun game" called Runescape. She and her best friend would force me to watch them play, trying to convince me to join them. It took a couple of months to try it for myself and it didn't take long to get hooked. About a week after I started playing, my daughter and her friend quit Runescape saying it was too boring for them, and they moved on to Neopets instead. My daughter later admitted the real reason she quit was because a level 2 chicken killed her.
I was unable to convince my daughter to return to Runescape but unbeknownst to me my husband was secretly obsessed with it when I wasn't looking. Today he has all but 2 of his skills maxed out. Probably because he spends a lot more time on it than I can. I am not one of those people who can work on only 1 thing for hours. And he is able to play while at work. I used to but I was pretty busy at work and kept getting interrupted. In the 6 years I've been playing, I only have 2 levels at 99. Some are 90-95, but its taking me forever to get my next cape. Anyway, he's my inspiration for Runescape more than anyone. I watch him play often and learn from him.
My husband is the one who introduced me to RSBnB. I love listening to the podcasts with him. Shane and Chief Snake are very entertaining and we love their suggestions and their view on things. Today we listened to them discuss odd foods and Shane was talking about "cabbage rolls". I'm guessing he's of Polish or German descent. Here in eastern PA the Polish make something similar called "halupki's" which are rice/hamburger wrapped up in cabbage leaves and cooked in tomato sauce. He also mentioned "pierogies" which are also Polish and are pasta pockets with mashed potatoes inside and they can be boiled, fried in a pan or deep fried. Anyway, enough with the ethnic food. I'm drooling now. Thanks Shane!

edit: I was also a huge fan of the MMO Earth Eternal, if anyone cares.
