What are your views on chatspeak? (when people shorten words, mild example: u instead of you)

Do you care about it at all? Does it make you think differently of the person? Does it make you wonder if they're lazy or just plain stupid? Or would you only notice it if they were using extreme chat shortcuts or mis-spellings? (like plizs instead of please)
